\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Solidarity Zone Foundation was established by Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy, Aleksy Dzikawicki and Beata Krasicka in 2017. The Foundation\u2019s goals, as defined in its bylaws, are to conduct activities in support of democratization, civic society development, and the protection of freedom and human rights, particularly freedom of expression; and support further development of Belsat TV \u2013 the first independent television program in Belarus. The Foundation is based in Warsaw, Poland. The Foundation\u2019s National Court Register (KRS) number is 0000685228.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy <\/strong>

She is a Polish journalist who reported for both printed and television media. She conceived the idea of establishing Belsat TV \u2013 the first and, so far, the only independent television station in Belarus \u2013 and now heads the station as its director.
\nDuring the initial years of the Solidarity movement (1980-1981), while studying at the University of Warsaw, she served as a spokesperson for the national founding committee of the Independent Student Association (NZS) and later became a member of the association\u2019s National Audit Committee. When martial law was imposed, she was held in an internment camp. She continued to work with various opposition groups until 1989. Among others, she was active in the Freedom and Peace Movement (WiP). She graduated from the University of Warsaw with a master\u2019s degree in history in 1987.
\nDuring her doctoral studies in the United States, she worked as an intern at two prestigious newspapers \u2013 The Washington Times and The Washington Post \u2013 and at the weekly The New Republic.
\nIn 1992, she started her career at Polish Television. Over the years, her positions at Polish Television have included the head of the reporters team, a deputy head of the Wiadomo\u015bci TVP prime time news program, a national news reporter, an editor at Wiadomo\u015bci TVP, a correspondent and an international reporter. She also served as the director of the channel TVP Polonia (addressed to Polish expatriates) and the director of Polish Television\u2019s regional studio in Bia\u0142ystok.
\nShe is a member of the Polish Journalists Association and has served as its vice president.<\/p>\n[\/vc_gutenberg]

Previously, he created Belsat TV\u2019s news and information division and managed it for many years. He was born in the city of Pinsk, Belarus, in 1973. He is educated as an economist. His involvement in independent journalism started in the mid-1990s, when he began writing for popular independent Belarusian publications. In 1997, he started working at Radio Svaboda (Radio Liberty), first as a correspondent from the Brest district in Belarus and later in Poland.<\/p>\n[\/vc_gutenberg]

He was born in 1978 in Warsaw. He obtained his education at various schools, including in India and Iran, and eventually at the University of Warsaw, where he graduated with a master\u2019s degree in international relations. From 2000 until 2016, he worked as a journalist at Polish Television, initially at Channel 1, and from 2006 also at Belsat TV, where he created and later, for nine years, led the division of graphic design and promotional operations. In the years 2016-2018, he managed the Polish Institute in Minsk, Belarus. He is authorized to serve on supervisory boards of companies owned by Poland\u2019s State Treasury. At the Solidarity Zone Foundation, he can apply both his journalism and television management skills and his diplomatic and cultural project management experience. He knows English and Belarusian, but he would very much like to find the time to brush up on his German and French.<\/p>\n[\/vc_gutenberg]

In addition, she has supported organizations and institutions in grant writing, fundraising and capacity building activities as a volunteer. She also volunteers as an author of project documents. She is well oriented in legal matters. Privately, she is a wife and a mother of three children. She likes to spend time with her family.
